Tuesday’s edition of The Morning Swim Show visits with sprinting sensation Cesar Cielo and offers more dryland tips to aspiring sprinters.

Host Peter Busch starts the show by recapping some fast swimming at the World Youth Championships, the British nationals and the Atlanta sectional meet, where Fred Bousquet and Cesar Cielo swam two of the 10 fastest 50 freestyles in the world this year.

In Reaction Time, Cielo talks about how he has become a better swimmer mentally and physically since arriving at Auburn three years ago. He also sums up the competition at the Olympics as some of the toughest swimmers he's met, and says it's been great to race them internationally this year.

Trainer J.R. Rosania concludes his series of dryland exercises designed to help people increase their sprinting power. In this segment, Rosania suggests using light dumbbells to help with hand speed in each of the four swimming strokes. Three- to five-pound dumbbells are ideal. He also suggests doing some boxing exercises to simulate the fast hand speed that boxers must have.
