April 22, 2013: Bumpy Jones joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show as we continue our Masters Monday series of interviews in April. Jones turned 80 years old last month, and he celebrated by breaking seven U.S. Masters Swimming short course yards records the weekend of his birthday. He also recently set two more at the YMCA nationals, and he talks about breaking those records and what he calls a very tough training schedule with the Sarasota Masters. A 1952 Olympian, Jones talks about his decision to come out of retirement to try to make the 1960 Olympic team, and why he’s glad to have discovered Masters swimming. Oddly enough for a perennial record breaker, he says he enjoys Masters more for the workouts than the meets!
