Stanford, undefeated so far at the women’s Pac-12 championships in Federal Way, Wash., claimed the top seed in four of five events in Friday morning’s prelims. The top effort came from junior Janet Hu, who posted the top times in the country in both the 100 fly and 100 back.

Stanford claimed the top four spots in the prelims of the prelims of the 400 IM, and it was a familiar name claiming the top spot. Less than 17 hours after setting the American record in the 500 freeKatie Ledecky was back in the water for the 400 IM. In her first of two swims in the morning session, Ledecky finished in 4:01.92, just off her season and lifetime best time of 4:00.65 that ranks second in the country this season.

Finally, Stanford’s Leah Stevens claimed the fourth seed in the event with her time of 4:09.21.
