USMS Coach of the Year Whitney Hedgepeth has been on deck with the Masters group in Austin for eight years, and she talks about her priority to make the team feel like a family, and she says knowing every swimmer’s personal stories helps her know how they will train in the pool. She also talks about the great coaches she swam for and how they influence her coaching, as well as the constant struggle to make sure the Masters group has plenty of pool space throughout the day.
