Sept. 26, 2012: We bring you another gem from the International Swimming Hall of Fame for today's edition of The Morning Swim Show, presenting the early evolution of the butterfly stroke. Those who know their swimming history well will remember that butterfly was begotten from breaststroke when several swimmers began using over-the-water recovery as far back as the 1936 Olympics. Butterfly became its own stroke in the 1950s, and as we see in this video, was “one of the most difficult strokes” to swim.
