Today's live edition of The Morning Swim Show featured an interview with the fastest swimmer in the women’s 200-yard backstroke and the coach of the winning team from the women’s Big 10 championships.

In case you missed our live show (airing each weekday at 10:30 a.m. MST), you can watch the video below and watch host Peter Busch recap the fast swimming over the weekend, from a world record and a near-record in Japan, as well as two national high school records and a national Masters record.

Florida junior Gemma Spofforth talked with Busch about setting the new NCAA record in the 200 back, eclipsing Natalie Coughlin’s former mark. Spofforth said the 100 back record is her main goal at the NCAA championships. Indiana won the women’s Big 10 championships and coach Ray Looze talked about the season-long goal of bringing the title back to the Hoosiers and why the Big 10 should not be viewed as less significant than other conferences.
