June 4, 2013: Missy Franklin talks about her performances at the Arena Grand Prix in Santa Clara, Calif., on today's edition of The Morning Swim Show . Franklin analyzes her best race of the meet, and the swims that will prompt her to return to Colorado and work harder in the weeks leading up to the world championship trials. She and her teammates at the Colorado Stars continue to share pool space with others, and Franklin is always happy to just have a lane to train in, no matter where it is. She is also nearing the end of an 11-year collaboration with coach Todd Schmitz, and she discusses what how the two of them have matured in the sport and how that relationship will continue once she leaves for college.

Oct. 23, 2012: Today's edition of The Morning Swim Show covers a wide range of topics with Missy Franklin, from the Olympics and Justin Bieber to picking Cal and enjoy the “post-Olympics craze.” Franklin, decked out in full Cal gear, talked about the arduous – and slightly funny – process of choosing to swim in Berkeley. While maintaining tremendous respect for the other schools she considered, Franklin said calling the other schools to inform them of her choice was the hardest part of recruiting. Part of the reason she’s enjoying the entire post-Olympic experience is being around friends, both at Colorado Stars and at Regis Jesuit High School. She also relives some of the memories from the Olympics and how she was able to handle such a tough event schedule in London, both mentally and physically.
