That's what the women's 200 IM will boil down to tomorrow night. At least that's what we can glean is likely from tonight's semifinals in the event.
Actually, it may become a five-woman race as Aussie rookie Lara Carroll put herself in the mix with a 2:13.80.
Yana — Klochkova, that is — led the semis at 2:13.30 as she tries to become the first woman to win both IM events in consecutive Olympic Games.
But it won't be easy, as precisely half a second separates the top five young women.
Beard is second at 2:13.51, followed by Katie Hoff at 2:13.60 and backstroke surprise-packet Kirsty Coventry at 2:13.68.
