Wyoming Rounds Up First 2022 Verbal From Futures Qualifier Alexandra Stein

NEW COMMIT: The University of Wyoming has received their first verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season and beyond from Futures qualifier Alexandra Stein of Fishers, Ind., who will suit up for the Cowgirls as a member of the Class of 2026.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim & study at the University of Wyoming!! I want to extend a huge thank you to my coaches, teammates, family, and friends! I couldn’t have done this without your continuous support and love! I can’t wait to be a Cowgirl!!!”

A versatile swimmer, Stein does her club swimming with Fishers Area Swimming Tigers and most recently earned three best times at Huntsville Futures last month after competing at Indiana LCM Seniors. Back in March, she placed 13th in the 100 fly at Indiana Seniors before going on to race at Indianapolis Sectionals.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 24.22
  • 100 free – 54.53
  • 100 fly – 57.34
  • 200 fly – 2:10.95
  • 200 back – 2:06.88
  • 100 breast – 1:08.31

Also competing for Fishers High School, Stein placed fifth in the 100 fly and eighth in the 50 free at the IHSA Sectional Championships as a junior. She was the runner-up in the 100 fly during her sophomore season.
