Worlds Juniors Team Member Ryan Erisman Verbals to Cal for 2025
NEW COMMIT: The University of California, Berkeley has added yet another impressive verbal for 2025, this time from Olympic Trials qualifier Ryan Erisman of Windermere, Florida.
He will join Dar Lavenko, Julien Rousseau, Kenneth Barnicle, Caiden Bowers, Norvin Clonts, Ian Platts-Mills and Andrew Shackell as members of the Golden Bears’ Class of 2029.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I chose Cal because of the world class coaches and amazing team atmosphere that will help me achieve my goals. I’m looking forward to training at a high level with some of the best in the world.”
A strong IMer and freestyler, Erisman does his club swimming with Windermere Lakers Aquatics and most recently placed 10th in the 200 fly, 400 IM and 500 free at Juniors East. He
Last summer, he earned a spot on the U.S. Worlds Juniors team in the 200m free where he competed on the 4x200m free relay. Erisman also swept the IM events at Ocala Futures in July.
His best times include:
- 400 IM – 3:48.42
- 200 IM – 1:49.10
- 100 free – 44.55
- 200 free – 1:36.13
- 500 free – 4:19.87
- 1650 free – 15:24.48
- 200 fly – 1:46.59
Currently a junior at Windermere High School, Erisman won the 200 free and 500 free at the 2023 Florida 4A State Championship. He collected bronze and silver, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.
