Marcel Wouda of the Netherlands bettered his own 400m IM short course world record, set just a week ago, with a time of 4:05.41.

Mark Warnecke of Germany also lowered his own 50m breaststroke short course world record with a time of 26.97. Warnecke set the previous record of 27.00 two years ago in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

Denis Pankratov of Russia set a 50m butterfly short course world record with a time of 23.35. Pankratov bettered the previous standard of 23.45 set by Mark Foster of Great Britain in December 1995 in Sheffield, England.
