Editorial content for the 2023 World Aquatics Championships is sponsored by FINIS, a longtime partner of Swimming World and leading innovator of suits, goggles and equipment. World Championships: Predictions For All 42 Events in Fukuoka The swimming portion of the World Championships will begin Sunday in Fukuoka, running for eight days of competition. Forty-two gold medals will be awarded, with 17 individual events for women, 17 for men, three single-gender relays for both women and men and two mixed relays. The prelims sessions will begin at 10:30 a.m. local time (9:30 p.m. ET the previous day in the United States), and finals begin at 8 p.m. local time (7 a.m. in the U.S.). Over the past two weeks, we have previewed every event set for competition in Fukuoka. Our guesses have the United States earning 15 gold medals and 44 total medals, just off the record-breaking 45 the Americans won at last year’s watered-down Worlds. Australia would finish second in the tally with seven golds and 23 total medals, both of which would be solid totals. Here is a rundown of day-by-day predictions for each event. Regan smith is not beating Macintosh lol
I think Macintosh is going 4 for 4 , titmus is not in the form she was last year or 2021, if anybody can beat summer in the 200 free it’s ocallahan however her injury a question mark
Molly O’Callaghan for a medal. Beat Titmus in the Aussie trials. Titmus has not had enough racing since the Olympics but never write her off.
Gold and WR!
It would have been more interesting to predict the winning times for these events. Anyway, I believe Tori Huske will be the big sleeper. Summer will probably shock us all, more than she already has. David Popovici will likely post a new wr for the 100 free. All IMO.
I wish we could watch on TV. Can’t find it anywhere 😭
Wonderful event. So far, so good !
