World Bronze Medalist Ksawery Masiuk Verbally Commits to NC State for 2023

NEW COMMIT: North Carolina State University has received a big verbal commitment for the fall of 2023 from Ksawery Masiuk of Warszawa, Poland.

He will join Jerry FoxChase MuellerHudson WilliamsHenry LeeJR TaylorMitchell LedfordSam Flack and Will Heck on campus as a member of the Wolfpack’s Class of 2027.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I’m extremely happy to announce my verbal commitment with NC State University ?♦️ I’m very grateful for giving me this opportunity to continue my swimming and school career in one of the best teams in the USA ?? GO PACK! ?♦️”

Masiuk competed for Poland at the 2022 World Championships in Budapest last month, earning best times in the 50m back and 100m back – both which were new Polish National Records. He earned the bronze medal in the 50m back with a time of 24.49, also taking fifth in the longer of the two distance in 52.75.

Currently, Masiuk is racing at the 2022 European Junior Championships, already collecting gold in the 50m back, 100m back and 200m back to complete the sweep.

He trains with UKS G8 Bielany Warszawa.

In LCM, his best times include:

  • 50 back – 24.48
  • 100 back – 52.58
  • 200 back – 1:56.62
  • 100 fly – 52.69
  • 50 free – 23.05

Masiuk is a great pickup for the Wolfpack, who won the ACC championship title in 2022 before finishing fourth at the NCAA Championships. His best times (converted to yards) are already fast enough to score in the A-final of the 100 back, B-final of the 100 fly and C-final of the 200 back at the conference level.
