World Aquatics Releases Hype Video for Next Month’s World Championships in Doha

Just a couple of weeks remain until the next edition of the World Championships gets underway in Doha. For many athletes attending, the competition (Feb. 2-18) will serve as an opportunity to get in some high-level racing ahead of the Olympic Trials season and, for those qualified, this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris.

One of the athletes who will be closely watched in Doha is American Kate Douglass, who is coming off an American-record swim in the 200-meter breaststroke at the TYR Pro Series stop in Knoxville. Douglass recorded a time of 2:19.30 to break the 2012 American mark of Rebecca Soni. For Australia, Shayna Jack and Cam McEvoy are expected to lead the Dolphins.

Action in Doha will unfold across multiple sports, with the swimming action complemented by open-water swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming and high diving. To set the stage for Doha, World Aquatics recently packaged a hype video for the events in Qatar. In swimming, the results in Doha will dictate which countries qualify relays for the Paris Games.

Here is the video put together by World Aquatics.
