Wolfpack Add 2026 Verbal From Ohio State Champ Maya Schweikert

NEW COMMIT: NC State has picked up a new verbal commitment for Fall 2026 from U.S. Open qualifier Maya Schweikert out of Maineville, Ohio.

She will join Emerson Callis and Taylor Schwenk in Raleigh as a member of the Wolfpack’s Class of 2030.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at North Carolina State University. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support from my family, friends, teammates and coaches. I would also like to thank the NC State coaches for this opportunity. GO PACK”

Schweikert does her club swimming with Mason Manta Rays and finished eighth in the 100m back, 10th in the 200m back, 13th in the 100m fly and 14th in the 50m back at NCSA Summer Championships. Last winter, she raced to 20th place in the 200 back at Juniors East.

Her best times include:

  • 50 back – 25.61
  • 100 back – 53.62
  • 200 back – 1:56.02
  • 100 fly – 55.46

Currently a junior at Kings Mills High School, Schweikert won the 100 back at the 2024 Ohio Division I State Championships. She finished fifth in the 100 back and sixth in the 100 fly at the state meet as a freshman.

NC State finished fourth at the 2024 ACC Championships and placed ninth at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
