Will Browne Verbally Commits to Harvard for 2025
NEW COMMIT: Harvard University has received a new verbal commitment* for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Will Browne of Charlottesville, Virginia.
He will join William Mulgrew in Cambridge as a member of the Crimson’s Class of 2029.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I am honored to announce my verbal commitment to the admissions process at Harvard University. Thank you to my family, teammates, and coaches for their unwavering support. I would also like to thank Coach Kevin and Coach Dan for giving me such an incredible opportunity. Go Crimson!”
Browne does his club swimming with Cavalier Aquatics and earned top-20 finishes in the 100m fly and 100m free at Junior Nationals last summer after four top-10 finishes at Virginia LCM Seniors. He placed sixth in the 100 free at Richmond Sectionals in March 2023, too.
His best times include:
- 50 free – 20.54
- 100 free – 45.03
- 200 free – 1:37.24
- 200 IM – 1:47.72
- 100 fly – 48.22
Currently a junior at St. Anne’s-Belfield School, Browne won the 100 free and 200 free at the 2023 Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Championship.
Browne’s best times would’ve made the B-final of the 200 free and the C-final of both the 200 IM and 100 fly at the 2023 Ivy League Championships.
*IVY LEAGUE DISCLAIMER:* A “verbal commitment” does not guarantee admission. An Ivy League coach cannot guarantee admission but can only commit support in the admissions process.

They will be lucky to you, Will!!
