Who Will Be Swimming World’s 2015 High School Swimmers of the Year?

Every year Swimming World highlights the top Male and Female High School Swimmer of the Year in the August issue. In anticipation of the release of the August issue we at Swimming World would like to take a look back at previous winners.

2014 Winners: Katie Ledecky & Caeleb Dressel

Not only is Katie Ledecky (Stone Ridge, Maryland) one of the best women’s distance swimmers of all time, she also enjoyed a successful high school swimming career setting national high school records in both the 200 and 500 yard freestyle, as well as, an American record in the 500 during her junior year.

Caeleb Dressel of Clay High School (Green Cove Springs, Fla) led the country in the 50 and 200 yard freestyles, and also set the overall national high school record in the 50 and national public school record in the 100 fly. After the high school season, swimming for his club team, the Bolles Sharks, he became the first 18-and-under swimmer to break 19 seconds in the 50 yard free.

Caeleb Dressel sets a national 15-16 record in the 100 freestyle.

Natalie Coughlin was high still swimmer of the year in 1998….17 years ago….and she still world class. What an amazing person!
