“What Would Ryan Lochte Do?” Will Not Get a Second Season on E! Network
LOS ANGELES, California, September 19. RYAN Lochte’s attempt at fame outside the swimming pool appears to have fizzled, as his eponymous reality show will not get a second season on the E! Network in the United States.
“What Would Ryan Lochte Do?” premiered earlier this year to very low ratings, and only averaged less than 500,000 viewers per episode for the entire season, according to Nielsen rating reports. Noted TV critic and reporter Michael Ausiello at tvline.com first reported the cancellation today.
Lochte had kept mum since the season finale of his show when asked about the possibility of a second season. The show followed Lochte around the country as he made the most of his Olympic fame through fashion show appearances and speeches on Capitol Hill. It also showed Lochte’s party side in Gainesville as he pursued his dream woman.
Lochte is currently gearing up for a new season … in the pool, that is. He’s set to train in new locations in the years leading up to the Rio Olympics, including SwimMAC Carolina.
