Pawlowicz produced one of the top swims in college swimming this season when she defeated the nation’s top-two swimmers in the 1000 free including UGA’s Amber McDermott and Brittany MacLean, who are ranked No. 1 and 2 respectively. The win came on the road at Georgia where the Bulldogs have not lost a meet since 1995. Pawlowicz assumed the lead at the 450-yard mark, pulled away to victory in 9:43.82 and outdistanced UGA’s top-ranked McDermott by nearly three seconds. Pawlowicz also swept the distance events in UT’s convincing win at Auburn.
