Watch Saline High School Set 200 Medley Relay Public School Record

ROCHESTER, Michigan, March 11. SALINE High School broke the national public high school national record in the boys' 200-yard medley relay not once, but twice, at the Division I Michigan state championships.

In their prelim swim, they snatched the national record by .01, formerly held by Hershey High School, with a 1:30.26. In finals, the team of David Boland, Josh Ehrman, Michael Bundas and Adam Whitener lowered it with a 1:30.01, swapping the swimmers on the butterfly and freestyle legs.

The swim is the third-fastest high school performance in history. The Bolles School owns the only swims under the 1:30 barrier, first doing it in 2009 with a 1:29.79. Then, Bolles did it again last November with a blazing 1:28.09.
