WATCH: Ray Looze and Others Accept ASCA Coaching Awards
Indiana head coach Ray Looze was named the American Swim Coaches Association Coach of the Year at the organization’s banquet in Washington.
Looze led the Indiana women and men to top-ten finishes at the NCAA championships this year, but most notable were his swimmers’ achievements in international waters. Looze guided Lilly King to four gold medals at the FINA World Championships while also placing Cody Miller, Blake Pieroni and Zane Grothe on the U.S. squad.
Looze was an assistant coach on the American Olympic team coaching staff in 2016 and again was a part of the World Championships coaching staff this year.
