With their men’s team competing at the Purdue Invitational, Navy senior swimmers learned of their service assignments on pool deck Thursday afternoon.
Most of their classmates were back on campus in Annapolis, Md., learning of their commissions for after graduation within the Navy or Marine Corps, but the seniors on Navy’s men’s team could not attend their meetings with their respective companies due to the meet.
So Purdue stopped the meet and made the announcement for everyone in the venue to witness. Watch the video of the six excited swimmers learning of their futures below.
