Jan Switkowski had a busy night on day two of NCAA Championships, getting his first individual and relay national title. He split an 18.52 as the second leg of Florida’s winning 4×50 free relay and won the men’s 200 IM with a time of 1:39.54.

He said he is happy his hard work has paid off and all of his splits were where he wanted them to be. The senior explained how he couldn’t have done it without his teammate Mark Szaranek, who finished third in the 200 IM in 1:40.27 and anchored the Gators’ victorious relay.

Gregg Troy discussed Caeleb Dressel’s record-breaking 50 free, saying that he gets a better feel for it each time he races the event. He also talked about the tight team race, saying it’s a great thing for the sport and that all teams have highs and lows throughout the day.
