California senior Ryan Murphy won his fourth straight 100 back title on Friday night at the 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships. Murphy became the first person since USC’s John Naber to win four straight 100 back titles when Naber won four from 1974-1977. Murphy will also go for four straight on Saturday night in the 200 back.
Murphy discussed his Cal career in the interview below. He also talked about the end of his college career coming up, along with his nerves before the race.
