Following the first night of finals at the Longhorn Elite Invite in Austin, Swimming World spoke with two event winners who both train in the same pool on a regular basis and both contributed heavily to Texas’ second consecutive NCAA title in March. Joseph Schooling took down Michael Phelps in the 100 fly, 51.58 to 51.65, moving into the top-ten in the world this year, and Will Licon was the top finisher in the 200 breast in 2:10.68, which ranks third among Americans this year.
