Shaine Casas shocked himself when he tied with Alexei Sancov for the win in the men’s 100 fly at Speedo Junior Nationals, with both 17-year-olds touching in 53.24.

Casas, who has not committed to any university for the fall of 2017, discussed in a post-race interview how, due to his poor eyesight, someone had to tell him that he had tied for the win. He explained his reaction and discussed why everything has clicked for him since joining Nitro only two months ago.

How on Earth could you give him an entirely different last name if his real last name is literally on his swim cap, shown in the photo accompanying this article? Good Lord.
