INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, June 30. RYAN Lochte came away disappointed with his meet at the 2013 US National Championships and World Championship Trials. He comments that the trend for this meet for him is going out fast in his races (sometimes at world record-pace), which is right where he wants to be, but his lack of training makes it difficult for to close those races. Because of this, Lochte says he wishes he had returned to training sooner, but is committed to putting in the work in the pool in the coming three years.
Lochte also reveals that he only got off weight about a week ago, about five weeks later than normal. At the end of the interview, he reveals that he wants to swim the 100 butterfly at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
