Kevin Cordes posted the second-fastest time in the world in the the 100 breast during prelims at Olympic Trials, and afterwards he stopped to speak with Swimming World.
Cordes was pleased to swim a lifetime-best time of 59.05 but thinks he has even more in the tank for this evening’s semifinals and Monday’s final. He also explained his mindset entering the race and why he believed he had a big drop in him. Cordes discussed his training in Singapore with Sergio Lopez and why he’s excited to be back in the United States.
