Kentucky’s Danielle Galyer won the 200 backstroke tonight and later took some time to sit down with Swimming World’s David Rieder to discuss her journey from her 40th place freshman year to the top of the podium. Galyer also discussed her strategy dealing with her event taking place on the last day of the meet, her confidence in her training, and her gratitude to her team and coaches for coaching her every day. Galyer is looking towards Trials, and chats about her game plan going into the next few months.
