American athletes performed at an exceptional level in Rio, but Swimming World writer and ASCA speaker Chuck Warner thinks that even more could be done. After giving his presentation on the American swimming team at the ASCA World Clinic, Warner sat down with David Rieder in Ft. Lauderdale.
Warner explained what factors led to the major rebound for the U.S. team after a disappointing effort at last summer’s World Championships in Kazan and whether the performance in Rio covered up some holes that have not been filled. Warner also discussed whether better performances might be possible in the future and explained what club coaches around the country can do to aid that effort.
