(Video Interview) Prenot Earns First Olympic Berth

Josh Prenot punched his ticket to Rio by winning the men’s 200 breast, stopping the clock in 2:07.17. His time ranks him first in the world this year and is the second fastest of all time.
His time clipped Eric Shanteau’s American record of 2:07.42 set back in 2009. He also broke Kevin Cordes’ U.S. Open record of 2:07.81 set yesterday during semifinals. Cordes finished second in 2:08.00.
The first-time Olympian talked to the media about how his race plan has changed over the years and what it’s like to train at Cal.
