Versatile Sydney Schoeck Pledges 2026 Verbal To Texas

NEW COMMIT: The University of Texas has landed a verbal commitment from Olympic Trials qualifier Sydney Schoeck of Chesterfield, Missouri, who will arrive in Austin as a member of the Longhorns’ Class of 2030.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I’m humbled and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Texas. I want to say a big thank you to my amazing parents, friends and coaches for all of the endless support. Most of all I want to thank God for guiding me to this school. I’m so grateful for Coaches Carol, Mitch, and Chad for giving me this incredible opportunity. I can’t wait to be a longhorn and a part of @texasswd HOOK EM!!”

A versatile swimmer, Schoeck does her club swimming with CSP Tideriders. She last competed at the NCSA Summer Championships where she won the 400m IM and took second in the 200m IM, 200m fly and 200m back. She raced the 200m back and 400m IM at Olympic Trials.

 

Her best times include:

  • 400 IM: 4:15.06
  • 200 IM: 2:00.08
  • 100 back: 54.07
  • 200 back: 1:57.50
  • 200 free: 1:48.88
  • 100 free: 51.13
  • 50 free: 23.97

Currently a junior at Westminster Christian Academy, Schoeck won the 100 back and 200 IM at the 2023 Missouri Class 1 State Championships during her freshman year.

The Longhorns have finished second at the NCAA Championships the past three seasons.
