Versatile Mary-Sophie Harvey Visits Social Kick Podcast; Targeting 2028 Olympic Games
The Social Kick Podcast has presented interviews with many of the top names in the sport, and it recently offered back-to-back chats with a pair of Canadian standouts. Following an interview with Olympic medalist Ilya Kharun, hosts Bryan Lundquist, Luke Paddington and John Mullen spoke with Mary-Sophie Harvey, the multi-event talent who will be racing in Budapest at the upcoming World Short Course Championships.
A two-time Olympian, Harvey has excelled in multiple events during her career, ranging from the 200 freestyle to the 200 butterfly to the individual medley disciplines. At last summer’s Olympic Games in Paris, Harvey finished just off the podium in the 200 freestyle, where she placed fourth in 1:55.29. That performance left Harvey .74 behind Hong Kong’s Siobhan Haughey, who was the bronze medalist. Harvey also contributed to multiple Canadian relays.
During her visit on the Social Kick Podcast, Harvey reflected on her efforts at the Paris Games and discussed her focus on the 2028 Olympics, which will be held in Los Angeles. She also talked about her training and the versatility that has defined her career, which includes two medals in relay action from the World Championships (LC) and World Short Course Championships.
Swimming World is thrilled to partner with the Social Kick Podcast to provide fans around the world with superb interviews with some of the sport’s biggest names.
