UVA Adds Another 2026 Verbal From Sprinter Molly Workman
NEW COMMIT: The University of Virginia has continued to put together yet another impressive recruiting class, recently earning a new verbal commitment for Fall 2026 from Junior National qualifier Molly Workman of Port Matilda, Pennsylvania.
She will join Caden Martin, Roos Rottink and Alyssa Sagle in Charlottesville as a member of the Cavaliers’ Class of 2030.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Virginia! I want to give a big thanks to my family, coaches, teammates, and friends for all of their support through this process. I would also like to give a big thanks to Coach Todd, Couch Courtney, Coach Jake, and the rest of the @uvaswimdive staff for this amazing opportunity! GO HOOS”
A sprint freestyler, Workman does her club swimming with Nittany Lion Aquatic Club and finished fifth in the 50m free and seventh in the 100m free at Speedo Summer Championships this past long course season. She won the 50m free and 50m breast at the ISCA International Senior Cup back in March.
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 22.67
- 100 free – 49.31
- 200 free – 1:51.15
- 100 fly – 55.01
Currently a junior at State College Area High School, Workman won the 50 free and 100 free at the 2024 Pennsylvania 3A State Championships. She earned bronze in both of those events as a freshman at the state meet.
Virginia is the four-time defending national champion.
