USC Trojans Open Class of 2025 Recruiting with In-State Verbal from Juniors Finalist Kevin Sichak
NEW COMMIT: San Jose, Calif. native Kevin Sichak has handed his in-state verbal to the University of Southern California beginning in the fall of 2021.
This is the Trojans’ first verbal commitment on the men’s side for their class of 2025.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim at the University of Southern California. I have enjoyed getting to know the team and I look forward to contributing to the USC swim program. I want to thank my family, QuickSilver Swimming & Bellarmine coaches, and friends for all their support. Fight on!”
A talented sprinter, Sichak swims year-round with Quicksilver Swimming and owns four U.S. Open cuts. He most recently was the runner-up in both the 100 free and 100 fly at the ACSC Senior Open and had three top-8 finishes at Far Westerns in 2019. He finished sixth in the 100 fly, 15th in the 100 free, and 20th in the 50 free at Juniors West in December.
Last summer, he achieved a trio of lifetime bests at Santa Clarita Sectionals before going on to race three events at Junior Nationals.
His best times include:
- 50 free – 20.53
- 100 free – 44.28
- 200 free – 1:39.10
- 50 fly – 23.08
- 100 fly – 47.69
Also competing for Bellarmine Prep High School, Sichak won the 50 free and finished second in the 100 fly at the CIF Central Coast Section Championships in 2019. He raced to sixth in the 100 fly during his sophomore season after taking 12th in that event as a freshman at the CIF State Championships.
