USC Swims Past Hawaii In Three-Session Dual

The USC men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams defeated Hawaii on Friday and Saturday in a two-day, three-session meet.

The USC women won 226-91 and the men won 220.5-85.5.

In the women’s meet, the Trojans won the 400 medley relay as Caroline Famous, Ashley McMillan, Genevieve Sasseville and Minna Abraham finished in 3:37.05 to open the meet.

Famous won the 100 backstroke (52.24), the 100 free (53.38) and 50 free (22.48) for USC. Abraham won the 200 IM (1:59.76), the 200 backstroke (1:56.92) and the 400 IM (4:09.36).

USC’s Ella Ristic won the 500 free (4:49.45). Mackenzie Hodges won the 200 free (1:45.93) and the 1650 free (16:37.72). Vasilissa Buinaia won the 100 free in 49.41. McMillan won the 200 breast in 2:14.51. Sasseville won the 200 fly (2:01.21).

Famous, Vasilissa, Ristic and Abraham won the 200 free relay in 1:30.74 for USC. Famous, McMillan, Sasseville and Abraham won the 400 medley relay in 3:37.05. Buinaia, Abraham, Famous and Hodges won the 400 free relay (3:17.20).

Hawaii’s Catherine Belyakov won the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.17.

In the men’s meet, USC’s Michal Chmielewski, Chris O’Grady, Krzysztof Chmielewski and Luke Maurer won the 400 medley relay (3:12.66).

Krzysztof Chmielewski won the 500 free in 4:17.88 for USC and the 200 fly (1:43.88). Michal Chmielewski won the 100 backstroke (48.64), the 1650 free (15:17.32) and the 100 butterfly (47.65).

USC’s Sanberk Yigit Oktar won the 200 IM (1:47.90), the 200 back (1:46.90) and 400 IM (3:51.99).
Artem Selin won the 50 free (20.04). Chun Ho Chan won the 100 breaststroke (52.76) and 200 breast (1:55.48).

Selin, Oliver Sogaard-Andersen, Diggory Dillingham and Maurer won the 200 free relay (1:19.84). Sogaard-Andersen won the 200 free (1:36.58).

USC’s Michal Chmielewski, O’Grady, Krzysztof Chmielewski and Maurer won the 400 medley relay (3:12.66).

Hawaii’s Karol Ostrowski won the 100 free in 43.45.

Ostrowski teamed with Victor Dagenais, Jordan Meacham and Milan Bukovics to win the 400 free relay (2:56.26).
