USC Earns 2026 Verbal From Washington 3A State Champ Hailey Weiler

NEW COMMIT: Olympic Trials qualifier Hailey Weiler of Seattle, Washington, has announced her verbal commitment to the University of Southern California beginning in Fall 2026.

She told Swimming World:

“I’m very excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Southern California! I would like to thank God, my family, friends, teammates and coaches Tommy, Ken, and LeAnne for supporting me through this journey. I would also like to give a huge thanks to Coach Lea, Coach Meghan, and their team for giving me this opportunity. I can’t wait for what the future holds at USC! Fight on!”

A backstroker, Weiler does her club swimming with Seattle Metropolitan Aquatic Club. She raced the 100m back this past summer at Olympic Trials before going on to take sixth in that event at Minneapolis Futures. Last winter, she was the runner-up in the 200 back at Washington Seniors and earned bronze in the 100m back at Federal Way Sectionals.

Her best times include:

  • 50 back – 25.57
  • 100 back – 54.79
  • 200 back – 1:59.33

Currently a junior at John F. Kennedy High School, Weiler won the 100 back and 200 IM at the 2023 Washington 4A State Championships. She placed fifth in the 100 fly and sixth in the 200 IM at the state meet as a freshman.

The 2024-25 season marks the first year USC is competing in the Big Ten Conference.
