USA Swimming Selects National Junior Team – Who Made the Roster?

USA Swimming, the National Governing Body of the sport of swimming in the United States, today announced the 71 athletes named to the 2024-2025 National Junior Team presented by the USA Swimming Foundation.

The women’s team is headlined by 2024 Junior Pan Pacific Championships individual gold medalists
Kayla Han (La Mirada, Calif./Carmel Swim Club), Leah Shackley (Bedford, Penn./Blair Regional YMCA), and Kennedi Dobson (Levittown, Pa./Eastern Express Swim Team). Teagan O’Dell (Chino Hills, Calif./Mission Viejo Nadadores) leads all athletes on this year’s roster, qualifying in five events.

The talented men’s team includes reigning Junior Pan Pacific Championships gold medalists Luka
Mijatovic (Pleasanton, Calif./Pleasanton Seahawks), Gregg Enoch (Carmel, Ind./Carmel Swim Club), and Logan Robinson (Pensacola, Fla./Greater Pensacola Aquatic Club). Enoch and Mijatovic each qualified for this year’s National Junior Team in four events.

“The 2024-2025 National Junior Team Roster represents the future of USA Swimming,” said Shana
Ferguson, USA Swimming Interim Chief Executive Officer. “This team highlights the diversity and depth of talent that makes us proud to support these stars as we prepare for the quad leading to LA28.”

The 71 athletes represent 59 USA Swimming clubs and 26 home states, with Long Island Aquatic Club
being the most-represented club (4) and California being the most-represented state (11).

A breakdown of the 2024-2025 U.S. National Junior Team:

• 40 athletes have represented the U.S. internationally

• 44 athletes make their National Junior Team roster debut

• Four athletes have been on the junior team for at least three years

• 24 athletes medaled at the 2024 Junior Pan Pacific Championships Team

The National Junior Team (the “NJT”) roster will be selected from eligible athletes according to Times achieved between January 1, 2024 through and including August 24, 2024. An athlete’s “Time” means the fastest long course meters time swum by that athlete in each individual Olympic event. USA Swimming will only consider Times loaded into its SWIMS Database by September 1, 2024 at 9:00AM (MT) from USA Swimming-sanctioned and World Aquatics-approved competitions.
