USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Scarlett McGlinchey Picks Duke

NEW COMMIT: Duke University has scored a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Scarlett McGlinchey of Sewell, New Jersey.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Duke University! I want to thank everyone who has helped me reach this point, especially my friends, family, teammates, and coaches. I would also like to thank the coaches at Duke for this amazing opportunity. Go Blue Devils!”

McGlinchey does her club swimming with Greater Philadelphia Aquatic Club and was a six-time finalist at Middle Atlantic Senior Championships back in March where her highest finish was a fourth-place showing in the 200 breast. She placed 19th in the 200 breast at NCSA Spring Championships the week prior after racing four events at Juniors East back in December.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:51.78
  • 500 free – 4:58.04
  • 100 breast – 1:02.71
  • 200 breast – 2:15.22
  • 200 IM – 2:02.44
  • 400 IM – 4:24.05

A rising senior at Our Lady of Mercy Academy, McGlinchey finished fifth in both the 100 breast and 200 IM at the 2024 New Jersey Meet of Champions. She placed second and fourth, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.

She is also a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
