As action around the country picks up during the fall season with age-group meets and scholastic competition, 18-and-under swimmers will routinely chase performances that track an improvement arc. Being .01 quicker in an event is a move in the right direction. USA Swimming has released its motivational time standards for 2021-24, designed to encourage age group swimmers to reach certain time standards as they age up. The standards are laid out for each Olympic quad, this set concluding in 2024 at the Games in Paris.

Time standards range from B, BB, A, AA, AAA, and AAAA in all age groups: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18.

The time standards can be found at the link below and are available in long course, short course meters, and short course yards.
