Townley Haas won the 200 freestyle at Olympic Trials. He now owns the eighth best time in the world this year and will make his Olympic debut in that event and on the 800 freestyle relay.
The University of Texas swimmer spoke about this season, and how the Longhorns had their full focus on Trials. While Haas had an incredible successful 2016 NCAA Championships, he still viewed that meet as simply a stepping stone.
The 19 year old also reflected a bit on what it means to represent the United States.
