Michael Phelps is no stranger to the US Olympic Team. In the USA Swimming video announcing him as a member of the 2016 Team, Phelps shares how his sisters’ swimming successes gave him something to strive for. He talks about his National Team debut on the 2000 Olympic Team and how cool it was to be handed so much USA gear.
Phelps heads into the 2016 Games excited to share the experiences with his son, Boomer. The 22 time Olympic medalist won the 100 and 200 butterfly and 200 IM at Olympic Trials. He currently holds the world’s second, sixth, and second best times in those events, respectively.

The man who needs no introduction…. although it could be said he’s a different guy from the one who swam in London. I’m so in awe of his journey back the last couple of years, and I’m sure he’s going to get the fairytale ending he deserves ???????
True legend. Cannot wait for the Olympics and to watch him one last time!!!
Wishing him one more success in Olympic competition!
Absolute legend!
