Kevin Cordes talked about his third place finish at Olympic Trials in 2012 as the catalyst for his success this summer, in the video series introducing the 2016 Olympic Team.
He also spoke about loving to try new food, and how he enjoyed that opportunity while living and training in Singapore.
Cordes will make his Olympic debut in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes. He set the American Record in semifinals of the 100 and went on to win that event in Omaha. Cordes will head to Rio with the second fastest time in the world this year. In 2010 he made his international debut with a sixth place finish in the 100 breaststroke at Junior Pan Pacs.
