Josh Prenot will make his first Olympic appearance in the 200 breaststroke after setting the American record in the event at Olympic Trials.
The Cal swimmer talked about how swimming gave him instant friends when he was younger as his military family moved frequently. He discussed the decision to choose swimming over baseball, recognizing that he had long term goals in swimming, while he just found baseball to be a fun activity.
Prenot also reflected on his early swimming idols, and laughed that a backstroker was among them.
