Hali Flickinger will represent the United States in the 200 butterfly. The former Georgia Bulldog recalled the moment when she made the team, calling it “the best moment of my life.”
Flickinger describes the underdog feeling she has experienced so often in the sport. The 22 year old also talks about how she calms herself down for a race. While so many athletes listen to music, Flickinger chooses to look at pictures in which she is smiling, a reminder that this sport is fun and makes her happy.
She also talked about the honor of being an Olympian and how she has been inspired by being in the presence of her teammates who she calls the “best of the best”
