Open water veteran Haley Anderson will compete in the 10K next month. Despite returning to her second Games, Anderson still considers herself to be shy, and has appreciated the welcoming attitude of the team.
Anderson’s father never swam, and she shares some of his post-race compliments in the USA Swimming video announcing her as a part of the Team. Meanwhile, she reveals that her mother gets too nervous to even watch her race.
The 24 year old also talks about when she first started to think of herself as being a promising swimmer and began to see success in the sport.
