Allison Schmitt reflected on her storied career in the USA Swimming video series introducing the 2016 Olympic team.
The Michigan native did not start swimming until she was nine years old, but says she is still having fun with the sport and that is why she swims. Schmitt offered thanks to her parents for their unwavering support throughout her career.
The 26 year old reflected on the moment when she stood on the podium receiving her gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games. Schmitt claimed five medals in London. She will swim the 800 and 400 freestyle relays in Rio. It will be her third Games.
