USA Swimming International Team Trials Day 1 Prelims: Trenton Julian Tops Field in 200 Butterfly

The USA Swimming International Team Trials kicked off with the first morning of prelims on Tuesday from the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The men’s 200 butterfly was the first men’s event of the day and was a battle of several college stars with a couple of Olympians mixed into the field.

Cal’s Trenton Julian took the top seed after touching the wall in 1:54.34.

Olympian Zach Harting took the second spot in 1:55.83, followed by fellow Olympian Chase Kalisz (1:56.04) at the USA Swimming International Team Trials.

Dart’s Luca Urlando took the fourth seed, touching the wall in 1:56.32, just ahead of Alexander Colson (1:56.50).

Gabriel Jett took the sixth spot (1:56.77), followed by Jace Crawford (1:57.40) and Louisville NCAA champion Nicolas Albiero (1;57.81).
