USA Swimming Announces 2018 Pan Pacs, 2019 World Championships Selection Criteria

USA Swimming announced its qualifying criteria for the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships and the 2019 World Championships. The US Nationals this summer will host as the main qualification meet for the Pan Pacs later this summer. The meet will be held in Irvine, California July 25-29. The full selection processes are available below, but the main points are as followed:
- Worlds team is top swimmers from results of Nationals A-final, Pan Pacs A-final and Pan Pacs B-final combined
- Only four swimmers per relay event per Pan Pacs, up to 4 in any other event
- US Nationals will hold as qualification for the 2019 World Championships, 2019 Pan American Games and 2019 World University Games
- Maximum 26 women and 26 men will be allowed on the team
- Winners at 2018 Nationals will automatically make the Pan Pacs team. Second, third and fourth place finishers in each event will be selected as long as the total number of swimmers does not reach 52.
