US Olympic Trials: Wave I Day Four Finals Heat Sheets
The third morning of the 2021 US Olympic Trials Wave I will kick off at 8 p.m. EST from Omaha, Nebraska as the finals of the 200 IM, 50 free, 200 breast and 1500 free will be contested. The top two swimmers in each event will advance to swim at the Wave II meet June 13 – 20 where the official Olympic team will be selected for the Tokyo Games that will start in 47 days.
Tonight’s finals is showcasing the youth movement at the meet with 17-year-olds Spencer Arnou-Rhees and Ella Bathurst leading the finals of the 200 IM while 15-year-old Gracie Weyant is the top seed in the 200 breaststroke.
University students Jack Armstrong and Missy Cundiff will occupy lane four in tonight’s finals in the 50 freestyle as they are hoping to touch first or second and earn a spot to Wave II Olympic Trials next week.
18-year-olds Joshua Brown and Jakob Frick lead the 1500 free and 200 breast final heats while UC San Diego’s Juli Arzave is the top seed in the women’s 1500 freestyle.
Finals will begin at 8 p.m. EST and will be live on Olympic Channel and on NBCOlympics.com.
